Just found the forum, i think it is relatively new. I've been digging Donavon's music for a while now, and am lucky enough to see the man play 3 times, each time the sound was evolving.
I'm a taper from San Diego, CA and the three times i saw him play, i recorded it, and they are all downloadable on the Live Music Archive, which is a part of the Internet Archive.
The main page of the archive is here:
www.archive.org/audio/etree.php
and direct links to each show are below:
Dec 2002 show: Just Donavon and an older bass player. No banter, just 5 quick songs and he was done:

March 2003 show: Martini Ranch, Donavon Frankenreiter Band now, with Matt the new bassist and Dean Butterworth on drums. Rocking set, more fast paced:

April 2003 show: Martini Ranch again, Donavon Frankenreiter Band as it is now, with matt, dean and David Leach on percussion.

David and Dean are former Innocent Ciminals in Ben Harper's band. They rock and are both on the full band album (the one with all 4 of them on the back).
